Warm Demander
As part of its work on developing culturally relevant pedagogy, the staff at June Jordan School for Equity created a detailed framework and training series on being a “warm demander” teacher. Staff members have authored articles on the subject and trained hundreds of teachers from schools across the Bay Area, using popular film clips to analyze the subtleties of warm demander interactions and relationships.
