SFUSD Sanctuary Schools Policy
During the 2016-17 school year, SSE supported a community organizing effort led by a JJSE senior to pass one of the strongest Sanctuary Schools policies in the nation. Young people from multiple high schools in San Francisco came together to share stories, analyze the current district policy, draft a new policy with the help of an attorney, and work with school board members and district staff to get the policy passed.
